There's a party every day, a movie every night, and all the junk food you can eat. What more can a kid want... except to get out.
In the near future, nuclear accidents, economic collapse and global riots have put the entire world in a state of chaos. Looting is widespread. Cities are wastelands. Violent thugs control the streets. But when working-class guy Jimmy Crabs (Ned Manning) and his voluptuous girlfriend (Carmen Nicholson) are accidentally trapped in a drive-in theatre being used as a maximum-security youth prison, they discover a whole new society filled with brutality, racism and corruption. Now Jimmy has one desperate shot at escape, a last-chance high-speed plan that will blast him from one hell into another - the one that lies beyond the walls of Dead End Drive-In.
An 80s Ozploitation thriller with a potent mix of social metaphor, explosive action and gratuitous nudity for one of the most intriguing Down Under cult hits of the decade.
